Email Update

We're about half way to getting our email back up and running. As of right now you'll no longer get the weird "email couldn't reach recipient" message because the emails are reaching us now. HOWEVER, there is still no way for anyone to check their email or access the messages. That means whatever you send to my dusty@bskgame.com or admin@bskgame.com account will reach us but we won't be able to see it. I'm hoping to have everything completely working by the end of this week but I'll let you know when it's fixed for sure. If you need to contact us please use jade@design1online.com address.

Thanks for being so patient while the email has been down!

HEY GUYS! I'm back! Yes, you heard (well, read) that correctly. I got my laptop fixed and I'm really excited to be back writing for you guys! I've missed being on the game and around chat and I hope you guys missed me too! I'm really sorry for not being here but I'm going to be here a lot in the future! =)

SO, let's start the new year in a positive manner with yet another dog care article from RSK. It's a little late putting up so sorry again. I think we should all say a little thank you to RSK, I mean... she's so helpful with the newspaper and writes the most interesting articles. I hope you've all learned something off her, I know I have. Thank you!

Dog Care Article - January - Skin Conditions

Hey guys, I'm sorry I haven't been able to bring this article to you sooner, i've been very busy for various reasons. Anyways, In this article I'm going to help you tackle your dog's skin conditions.

Skin conditions are very common in dogs, and some can be easily tackled by lifestyle change, diets or remedies.

Here are some main conditions in dogs.

Hotspots

Hotspots are mainly found in the Summer, more so on bigger dogs such as Rottweilers, Labradors and Boxers. These are odd circular dry patches on your dog's body, the effected area will go bald, and maybe weep a little. They are called Hotspots because in hot conditions, the sun drys out a spot of the dog's body. Hotspots are cureable and easily - but may cause a little discomfort for your dog.

First of all, if you notice a hotspot, bath with cool water to clean it out, and use an antiseptic cream - this can be a special pet cream, or a human cream (make sure it's not a chemical one). Just keep an eye on the Hotspot, and try to prevent your dog from nibbling or biting it, licking it can be encouraged, and before you know it, your hotspot is gone.

Bald Elbows

If your dog has Bald Elbows, i'm sorry, but your dog is overweight! Feel where it's ribs are, and if you cannot feel them easily, your dogs needs a diet! Don't go to extreme matters and starve your poor dog, as you can kill it! As it's not something urgent, it just may not help in the longterm, especialy if your dog is young. Just cut down on the food in his/her bowl, make sure there is water acessable at all times, and try to avoid titbits (human food off plates) and don't overfeed treats, also make sure your dog has enough excersise. Please consult a vet before doing so - as it might not be the case.

Mange

Mange is a very serious condition, and will need vet treatment immediatly. You will notice mange if your dog has dry spots everywhere, and it's fur is in poor condition. Please do not take your dog to the park or near other dogs if your dog has mange, as other dogs can catch it. To avoid mange, keep your dog clean, groomed and healthy - and free of fleas. If your dog's mange is really bad, it may need it's fur shaved off - and i'm not joking. It's very seriouse.

Thats all for now, and we'll be back next time with the Dog Walking article. :) ~ Rsk
